One platform, every practice size

tab32 is a cloud dental software platform built on Google Cloud — serving dental practices across 40+ U.S. states, from solo dentists on Alpine starting at $125/mo to enterprise DSOs on Summit managing 100+ locations. Both products run on a single codebase — same infrastructure, same data model, same reliability.

The platform combines scheduling, charting, imaging, billing, patient communication, and real-time analytics in one system. What makes tab32 different from other dental practice management software is that AI is built directly into the data layer — not bolted on from a third party. Voice documentation, eligibility verification, claims automation, and payment posting are live in production today.

We pioneered many firsts in dental software: the first open data warehouse in dentistry (BigQuery-powered, connects to Tableau, Power BI, Looker), integrated texting, cloud imaging, VoIP, mobile payments, and a standard model for open data sharing. The platform delivers 99.95% uptime since 2017, with full HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 certification.

Our story

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Sacramento, California, tab32 was built by CEO Kiltesh Patel to replace the server-based dental software that hadn't meaningfully changed since the 1990s. With a background in medical informatics from UC Davis School of Medicine and nearly a decade working with clinical datasets in translational sciences, Patel brought a health information technology perspective to an industry that was overdue for it.

That background is why tab32's AI is different — it's built into the platform's data layer, trained on dental-specific workflows, not a generic model wrapped around the product. The result is a dental practice management platform that serves private practices and enterprise groups equally well, with the data scale and infrastructure to keep improving.

Today, tab32's team of 50+ across engineering, data science, product, and customer success builds and supports both Alpine (private practices) and Summit (enterprise DSOs) — two products, one platform.
